Hard workin man!

Spring is here and the Johnson's have been very busy! Once it warmed up we started working in our new yard and boy was there a lot to do! We planted a garden and built fence, mowed and got lots of pretty flowers. Owen has been the biggest help, he insist on being a part of everything of course and has made quite the little handyman. Now that we're slowing down a bit I think its time to have some relaxing fun.

Showing off his crazy moves!!!

Snow, Snow everywhere....2009-2010 winter has brought a lot of it! Owen got several chances to play in his first snow, build a snowman, and have a snowball fight. The first snow was on Christmas eve, which was also our first night in the new house! It was a great Christmas filled with lots of love and toys.Owen is growing in leaps and bounds, which is exciting and sad all at the same time, mommy sure misses the little fat rolls and chubby legs but I'm also enjoying the everchanging personality Owen seems to be developing. He loves to go outside and play , wants to do anyhting that Daddy does, and jumps at any chance to dance (and shows off his moves for the camera in one of our youtube videos). It has been a wonderful time full of so many blessing for the Johnson family....

We made it to One!!

Hotdog Owen is 1!!! We had a great party at Coggin Park with lots of friends, family, cake and presents. He wasn't quite sure what to do when mommy handed him his own cake to play in, but after a few "are you sure it's ok" glances toward mommy he dug right in! I can't believe how fast a year flew by, and we were so glad that so many people came in to celebrate with us.
We also went trick or treating for the first time and got to carve a Owen sized pumpkin with aunt Kelcy and uncle Wade.....lots of fun and plenty of candy!!!
Lots of changes on the horizon...we sold our house and are fixing to be moving into a new house with more room! So for now we're getting to hang out with Nana and Pops, but we should be closing and getting to move in sometime in December. Lots of work to be done but there will be so much more room for all the toys santa will be bringing!!!

Rockin the reunion

Whew, what a busy summer.....the last few weeks Owen go to go on his first camping trip, and although it rained the whole time he enjoyed playing with his friend Kenzie. He has officially started walking and insist on walking everywhere on his own, by the time his birthday gets here in two weeks he'll be running around the park.Of course mommy is right behind him hoping that with every fall he doesn't knock out one of his 8 teeth that we finally got in! This last weekend we participated in the Brownwood Reunion where Owen got to see his first "big" parade, which he thought was pretty cool, and then he even joined in on his first "kids" parade. And on top of all of the excitment he managed to make the brownwood news website, so he's officially Brownwood famous now!!The lights and sounds of the carnival and concerts left him in awe and by Saturday night he was one tired little boy. Now we'll be prepared for even more volunteering next year!!!

Rodeo Time!

Howdy Pardners....Owen went to his first rodeo this week and really seemed to enjoy it. Although he was a little unsure about the clown's car when it exploded in fireworks, he was all about the noise, clapping and seemed to love the horses (wonder who he gets that from?!). Thursday night was cool because we got to visit with Lacy and her girls, Owen's new friend Harlee (she was so sweet to share her cowgirl hat with him), and Miss Jaycee. It was so much fun that we had to go back Friday night and see it all again, this time we took Memaw and Papa Johnny and hung out with Joyce. The best part overall was the mexican fighting bull-that brought on quite a few smiles and giggles. I guess boys always like the rough and tumble parts! Who knows, next year we might have to get him his own cowboy hat.....

4th of July

Bottle Rockets, army tanks, artillery shells, and sparklers. After mommy, daddy, aunt Kelcy and Uncle Wade dropped $100 to make Owens first 4th of July the coolest, we soon learn that even sparklers are scary.......oh well, maybe next year!!
